What Are Veneers?

What Are Veneers?

Veneers are a type of dental coating made in the form of thin shells that are attached to the front surface of the teeth. In general, veneers are placed on the front 8 teeth, depending on which teeth are visible when each patient smiles.

What Dental Concerns Can Veneers Help Correct?

  1. Chipped, cracked, or uneven tooth edges caused by biting hard objects or aging.
  2. Gaps between teeth that the patient would like to close.
  3. Abnormal tooth size or shape, such as small teeth.
  4. Mildly rotated, crowded, or misaligned teeth.
  5. Uneven tooth color, yellow teeth, or dark-colored teeth.
  6. White spots on the teeth or uneven tooth surfaces.
  7. Teeth that have been filled but do not match the color of the surrounding teeth.
  8. Cases where teeth whitening cannot achieve the desired level of brightness, especially for those who want significantly whiter teeth, such as actors, hosts, beauty pageant contestants, and celebrities.

ColorSince it is made from filling material, it may absorb stains from food and drinks. The tooth shade is long-lasting and does not easily stain from food and drinks. Wow!
Procedure and treatment durationThe process begins with preparing the tooth surface and may involve slight tooth reshaping. The material is then sculpted into the desired shape before being cured with light on the treated tooth area to harden the material. After that, the surface is polished, smoothed, and shaped to create a beautiful tooth appearance. The treatment can be completed in the first dental visit.Requires 3 dental visits.

First visit: Discuss the treatment plan and perform a 3D digital dental scan.

Second visit: Prepare the teeth and place temporary veneers.

Third visit: Attach the final veneers.

The overall treatment duration may take approximately 2–3 weeks.

If you have PCOS, does that mean you’ll get more eggs during egg freezing?

Women with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) often have more small ovarian follicles visible on ultrasound. That’s because hormone imbalances disrupt ovulation, causing immature eggs to remain in the ovaries. These follicles may respond well to stimulation medication so yes, you may retrieve a higher number of eggs during egg freezing.
