In a groundbreaking achievement, Bangkok has claimed the #1 spot as the most-visited city in the world for 2024, attracting a record-breaking 32.4 million visitors.

Bangkok: A Tourism Powerhouse

Bangkok's global appeal was attributed to its pro-tourism policies, vibrant culinary scene, and unique attractions, coupled with a low cost of living compared to other major cities. The Thai capital far outpaced Istanbul, Turkey (23 million visitors) and London, UK (21.7 million visitors), which ranked second and third, respectively.

   - A 60-day visa exemption for nationals of 93 countries.

   - Expansion of visa-on-arrival eligibility from 19 to 31 countries.
