The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), in collaboration with various partners, launched the Amazing Thailand Passport Privileges project under the campaign “WOW! Thailand Passport Privileges.” The campaign offers discounts and special privileges for tourism-related products and services to attract international tourists, stimulate the tourism economy, and enhance Thailand’s tourism industry's service image.

Present at the event were TAT Governor Ms. Thapanee Kiatphaibool, President of the Tourism Council of Thailand Mr. Chamnarn Srisawat, and several other key officials. The event took place at the TAT headquarters in Bangkok.

Ms. Thapanee Kiatphaibool highlighted that TAT is accelerating its tourism promotion efforts in line with the government’s policies. The focus is on boosting foreign tourists' travel and spending, particularly during the fourth quarter of 2024, which coincides with Thailand's high tourist season.

The “WOW! Thailand Passport Privileges” campaign, running from November to December 2024, aims to attract tourists from both short-haul markets (e.g., China, South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Indonesia, and Malaysia) and long-haul markets (e.g., the UK, USA, Canada, and European countries). The goal is to achieve the government's target of 36.7 million international visitors and 3.5 trillion baht in tourism revenue by the end of 2024, positioning Thailand as a tourism hub in the region.

The campaign includes four main activities:

1.Must Do Souvenirs: From Heart to Hands: Distributing 100,000 unique souvenirs based on the “5 Must Do in Thailand” concept to international tourists arriving in Thailand from November 2024 to December 16, 2024, at Suvarnabhumi, Don Mueang, and Phuket airports.

2.First Come, First Wow!: Offering discounts and privileges to the first 10,000 registered foreign tourists, with general privileges available through online registration.

3.Lucky Number: Offering special prizes, including domestic flights and accommodation discounts, to lucky tourists in specific registration brackets.

4.Big Surprise!: One lucky tourist will win a grand prize worth 300,000 baht.

The campaign has over 300 participating businesses, including hotels, airlines, shopping centers, restaurants, and wellness centers, offering special discounts to foreign tourists.
