Bangkok, Thailand – The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is advancing Thailand’s tourism strategy by tapping into the growing Pet Tourism trend, partnering with popular online pet influencers Japan and Friends featuring fan-favorite furry stars “Jum-Meng,” “Jedi,” and “Jai-D” to inspire travel experiences for pet owners under the concept of responsible tourism.

The campaign invites pet parents and animal lovers to embark on heartwarming journeys with their beloved companions, while promoting domestic travel to emerging destinations through the “Happiness is Here in Thailand” initiative.

Inspiring Pet Friendly Travel Through Influencer Storytelling

Mr. Nithee Seeprae, Deputy Governor for Marketing Communications at TAT, stated that the campaign is part of a strategic project aimed at promoting tourism among high-potential traveler segments particularly Pet Parents through collaboration with well-known influencers.

Japan and Friends, a widely followed pet content creator, has built a strong online community among pet lovers by delivering engaging and inspiring content around pet care and lifestyle. Through this partnership, the campaign communicates the concept of Responsible Tourism, encouraging travelers to explore pet-friendly destinations while being mindful of environmental and social impacts.

The initiative also aims to boost travel to secondary cities across Thailand, highlighting accommodations and facilities that support pet-friendly tourism experiences.

Engaging Digital Content to Reach Millions

As part of the campaign, TAT and Japan and Friends are producing a series of four short-form video episodes, designed to entertain while providing practical insights for pet owners planning trips with their animals.

The content covers:

๐ Pre-trip preparation for traveling with pets

๐ Travel tips during the journey

๐ Creating meaningful and memorable experiences

๐ Sharing positive stories within the pet-loving community

Featuring the playful duo Jum-Meng and Jai-D, alongside eco-conscious character Jedi, the series blends humor, storytelling, and educational elements.

The videos are scheduled for release across all Japan and Friends online channels, with TAT targeting at least 2.5 million impressions. Additional exposure includes a special feature and exclusive interview in the February 2026 issue of Osotho Magazine, further amplifying awareness of Thailand’s pet-friendly travel experiences.

Exclusive Event: “Amazing Furry Tales” Meet & Greet

To complement the digital campaign, TAT invites fans and pet lovers to join an exclusive on-ground experience, “Amazing Furry Tales: Traveling Thailand with Furry Friends,” taking place on March 21, 2026, at Pumpkin Art Town, Pathum Thani.

The event offers a unique opportunity for 50 selected participants to spend two full hours engaging closely with the beloved furry influencers.

Highlights include:

๐ Interactive talk sessions with Japan and Friends

       ๐ Games and prize activities

๐ Fun workshops for pet lovers

       ๐ Exclusive merchandise and souvenirs

๐ Special photo opportunities, including 1:1 and group photo sessions

Participants can join by subscribing to Osotho Magazine annual membership (THB 1,020/year) and registering via the official application link.

Strengthening Thailand’s Position as a Pet Friendly Destination

This initiative reflects Thailand’s evolving tourism landscape, where inclusive travel experiences are designed to accommodate both travelers and their pets. By promoting pet-friendly destinations and responsible travel practices, TAT reinforces Thailand’s image as a welcoming, sustainable, and emotionally enriching destination.

The campaign also plays a key role in stimulating domestic tourism while attracting a niche yet rapidly growing segment of global travelers pet owners seeking meaningful and shared travel experiences.
