Bangkok, Thailand – The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), in collaboration with leading private-sector partners, is redefining the future of tourism with the launch of its “Healing is the New Luxury” campaign, positioning Thailand at the forefront of wellness and longevity tourism on the global stage.
The initiative introduces a new dimension of travel through the concept of Wellness Longevity Lifestyle, which integrates holistic health, premium travel experiences, and meaningful living. The campaign was officially unveiled at the “Wellness Longevity Lifestyle for All” press event held on March 27, 2026, at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center in Bangkok, bringing together key stakeholders from the tourism, hospitality, and culinary sectors.
According to TAT, Thailand continues to build on its strengths as a world-class destination by shifting its focus toward value-driven tourism, emphasizing quality over quantity. Under the broader vision of “The New Thailand,” the country aims to deliver transformative travel experiences that nurture both physical and mental well-being, while reinforcing international trust through initiatives such as “Trusted Thailand.”
A key highlight of the campaign is the introduction of “Wellness Decode Menu,” a curated collection of health-focused dishes developed by internationally acclaimed chefs from Marriott International in collaboration with professional nutritionists. This initiative reflects the growing importance of wellness gastronomy, where food is not only a source of pleasure but also a tool for enhancing long-term health.
Ten signature dishes have been created under the theme “Wellness Longevity Lifestyle,” combining culinary artistry with nutritional science. These menus showcase a diverse range of global and Thai-inspired flavors, carefully designed to meet modern travelers’ demand for healthier, more meaningful dining experiences. The concept is guided by the philosophy that “food can be the most delicious form of medicine,” aligning with global wellness trends.
Participating properties across Thailand will begin offering the Wellness Decode Menu from April 29, 2026, allowing both international visitors and local consumers to experience this new standard of wellness dining. The menus will also be integrated into the Marriott Bonvoy loyalty program, further enhancing accessibility and engagement.
Beyond culinary innovation, the initiative is supported by a strong network of partners, including Thailand Restaurant News, Wandee Culinary Technology College, CPF Global Food Solution, and AMATHOPIA. Together, they aim to expand wellness tourism offerings, develop new skill sets within the hospitality industry, and create opportunities for businesses to adapt to the evolving demands of health-conscious travelers.
To further support industry growth, training programs will be offered to restaurants interested in adopting the Wellness Decode Menu concept, while the public will have the opportunity to explore related innovations at major events such as Thailand Health & Wellness 2026 and the Foodism Show.
This collaboration marks a significant step in Thailand’s journey toward becoming a global leader in wellness tourism, delivering high-value experiences that combine health, lifestyle, and travel. By integrating wellness into every aspect of the tourism ecosystem, Thailand continues to create sustainable economic value while meeting the expectations of a new generation of global travelers.
