Bangkok, Thailand – The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is intensifying its push into the fast-growing wellness tourism market with the upcoming Amazing Thailand Health & Wellness Trade Meet 2026, set to take place on April 23, 2026 at Mövenpick BDMS Wellness Resort Bangkok. The event is designed to strengthen Thailand’s position as a leading global wellness destination by connecting international buyers with Thai wellness operators and creating new opportunities for long-term business growth.

According to TAT Governor Thapanee Kiatphaibool, the event reflects Thailand’s commitment to advancing the tourism sector under the concept of High Value & Sustainable Tourism. The strategy focuses on elevating the quality of wellness products and services to international standards, attracting high-spending travelers, expanding health and wellness routes across both major and emerging destinations, and promoting sustainability in both environmental and community dimensions.
The trade meet will bring together 74 international wellness tourism operators and 68 Thai businesses, covering a wide range of sectors including spas, preventive medicine, alternative medicine, wellness resorts, and integrated wellness services. Through business matching sessions and partnership discussions, the event is expected to open doors for deeper international collaboration and help Thai operators expand into global markets.

The initiative comes at a time when wellness tourism continues to gain strong momentum worldwide. The global wellness tourism market is projected to reach USD 1.35 trillion by 2028, making it one of the most promising segments in the travel industry. Thailand is already recognized as one of the world’s leading wellness tourism destinations, with its market valued at more than USD 40 billion and annual growth outpacing conventional tourism sectors.

Thailand’s competitive strengths lie in its internationally recognized service standards, highly skilled medical and wellness professionals, and wide-ranging offerings that span from medical wellness to holistic wellness. These are further enhanced by the country’s distinctive cultural assets, including Thai massage, Thai herbal traditions, and a unique wellness philosophy deeply rooted in local heritage.

TAT believes the Amazing Thailand Health & Wellness Trade Meet 2026 will mark another important milestone in positioning Thailand as a global wellness hub, while generating new business opportunities, upgrading the tourism industry, and supporting balanced and sustainable growth in the years ahead.
