Oncology Imaging Center

The Oncology Imaging Center offers a range of diagnostic and treatment services for cancer patients. The center is staffed by experienced specialists, including radiologists, interventional radiologists, oncologists, psychologists, and nurses. With state-of-the-art technology and its own cyclotron for PET/CT scans, the center ensures accurate and efficient cancer diagnosis. Here are some of the services provided: 

• Ultrasound and CT Scan: These imaging techniques are used for cancer diagnosis and monitoring. 

• Nuclear Medicine: The center offers PET/CT scans using radiopharmaceuticals such as FDG, F-DOPA, and PiB. These scans help in diagnosing and staging cancer, as well as investigating other diseases. 

• Interventional Radiology: This involves minimally invasive procedures, such as radiofrequency ablation (RFA), for the treatment of cancer. RFA uses medical imaging equipment, such as ultrasound or CT, to guide the procedure and target cancer cells. 

• Therapeutic Radio Pharmaceuticals: The center provides treatments such as radioactive iodine therapy for thyroid cancer and radiopharmaceuticals for bone pain resulting from cancer. 

• Image Guide Percutaneous Biopsy: This procedure uses imaging guidance, such as CT or ultrasound, to obtain tissue samples for cancer diagnosis. 

The center's PET/CT Scan Center offers PET/CT scans using the latest technology, including PET/CT Flow, which eliminates the need for stop-and-go imaging, providing a smoother and more convenient scanning experience for patients. 

The Nuclear Medicine Clinic specializes in SPECT/CT scans for various purposes, including determining if cancer has spread to the bone and measuring heart and kidney function. It also offers the thyroid uptake test and treatments for thyroid cancer and hyperthyroidism. 

In the Intervention Oncology Clinic, interventional radiology procedures, such as radiofrequency ablation, are performed to treat cancer by destroying cancer cells.
