Root Canal Treatment

Root Canal Treatment (or Endodontic treatment) involves the removal of infected and inflammatory tissues from the tooth's pulp chamber and root canal, as well as a sterile cleaning of the canal. The root canal is then filled, and the tooth is made strong and aesthetically pleasing so that it can function normally. 

The majority of teeth that require root canal treatment are decayed teeth that penetrate the pulp cavity, fractured, worn, or fractured teeth that penetrate the pulp cavity, and accident-damaged teeth that penetrate the pulp cavity. 

All of these factors can allow pathogens to enter the pulp and cause an infection in the pulp. Patients frequently experience toothache on its own or may have intermittent toothaches. In some cases, the pain is so severe that the individual cannot sleep, or the teeth are extremely sensitive to hot or cold food, and it hurts to chew food. Sometimes, discolored teeth can be abnormally dark and distinct from other teeth. There may also be swollen gums, pustules, and facial swelling. 

The treatment begins with an anesthetic and a gauze pad made of rubber. The tooth is then milled to open the entrance to the pulp chamber, and infected tissue is removed, followed by root canal irrigation with an antiseptic and disinfectant solution. 

When the tooth is symptomatic, a root canal is typically performed to fill the void and prevent the return of pathogens. Depending on the severity and state of each tooth's infection, two to three treatments are typically required. Following this, the teeth are restored for normal use.

Root Canal Treatment involves removing infected tissue from the tooth's pulp, cleaning, and filling the canal to restore functionality. Commonly needed for decayed or damaged teeth, this procedure eases severe pain, sensitivity, and swelling, usually requiring 2-3 sessions for full restoration.
