Rajavej Hospital Chiang Mai was founded with the intention of meeting the healthcare needs of the local community in the Wat Ket Subdistrict and the wider region of Chiang Mai province. The hospital commenced operations on June 9, 1997, under the management of Sirivej Medical Co., Ltd. 

The name 'Rajavej' symbolizes the commitment of the hospital to provide 'royal' or excellent medical care to the people. It was built on the belief that quality healthcare should be accessible to everyone, hence the hospital's policy to accept patients with social security rights, health insurance rights, and its provision for 24-hour payment. 

The hospital began as a small healthcare facility with a handful of dedicated doctors and nurses. Over the years, it gradually expanded in size and capabilities. Today, it boasts a 150-bed facility providing comprehensive medical services to both inpatient and outpatient clients. Rajavej Hospital's Emergency Department is equipped to handle emergencies around the clock, reaffirming their commitment to the health and well-being of their community.
