The Spine Clinic at Vibhavadi Hospital is staffed by a team of highly qualified and experienced spine surgeons and neurosurgeons. The spine is a complex structure made up of 25 bones, divided into four major sections:

Neck: 7 vertebrae

Chest: 12 vertebrae

Waist: 5 vertebrae

Breech: 1 vertebra

Each vertebral bone is arranged in an orderly fashion, aligned with the body, and interconnected by joints and discs. There are gaps between the bones that accommodate the spinal nerve trunk. Furthermore, each vertebral joint has an opening for the spinal nerves that branch off from the spinal nerve trunk. Any abnormalities in the spine, joints, or discs can potentially harm the spinal nerves.

Back pain experienced during movements, sitting, or walking can cause significant discomfort. Approximately 90% of neck and back pain cases resolve spontaneously within one to two weeks. Our multidisciplinary treatment team comprises orthopedists, neurosurgeons, and rehabilitation medicine specialists who provide care and diagnostic services, including medications, physiotherapy, alternative medicine, and surgery when necessary.
