Thailand’s medical and wellness tourism platform, ArokaGO (www.arokago.com), was honored to be a representative from Thailand on the main stage at the 2025 Global Industrial Internet Conference (GIIC), held in Shenyang, Liaoning Province, People’s Republic of China, from September 5–8, 2025. This marked the sixth conference since its inception in 2019, and it has since grown into an influential international platform in the field of the industrial internet. This year’s theme was “Digital New Chapter, Intelligent Manufacturing of New Quality,” focusing on accelerating the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) with industrial internet systems as a key solution for the new industrial revolution.
The conference brought together government officials, business leaders, experts, and academics from over 11 countries and regions, including China, the United States, Brazil, Greece, South Korea, Cambodia, Azerbaijan, Egypt, Belgium, and Thailand. Participants shared their perspectives on industrial transformation and explored new development opportunities. The event also featured case studies on the application of AI, large models, and advanced technologies in the manufacturing sector, along with more than 20 forums and sub-forums dedicated to the development of intelligent, eco-friendly, and sustainable industries.
Key representatives from various countries offered their insights on the future of the digital industry:
Wang Xinwei, Governor of Liaoning Province, emphasized that the “Digital Liaoning, Powerful Province in Smart Manufacturing” strategy designates the industrial internet as one of 22 key clusters for support. The goal is to accelerate the digital, network-based, and intelligent transformation of the manufacturing sector, with AI serving as a crucial driver for creating new production capabilities.
Hermano Tercius, Minister of Telecommunications of Brazil, stated that global connectivity should not be viewed as merely a technological issue but must also rely on “wisdom” to build a global digital system, ensuring that the new industrial revolution benefits all of humanity.
Lucero Carreón, Vice President of the Mexico-China Business Council, added that cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) will be a significant force, helping developing countries expand collaboration and create new opportunities for the future development of the industrial internet.
Ben Sassi, CEO of the Warsaw Chamber of Commerce, Poland, noted that the ultimate goal of global digital cooperation is to enhance overall industrial potential and collectively drive the sustainable advancement of international manufacturing.
Zhao Yongsheng, Head of Tiexi District, Shenyang, presented a successful case study of the district’s digital transformation. He explained that Tiexi has focused on upgrading traditional industries by applying smart technologies and the industrial internet, while also building new infrastructure, creating digital industry clusters, and expanding international cooperation. The district now hosts numerous leading companies and innovation platforms, with concrete smart factory and green manufacturing projects already underway.
A major highlight of the conference was the Honorary Keynote by Mr. Piero Scaruffi, founder of the Silicon Valley AI Research Institute and a globally renowned AI expert. His talk, "Focus of AI and Cutting-edge Artificial Intelligence in 2025," underscored how AI is not only changing production methods but also redefining the very concepts of “products” and “value” in the new economy.
Asst.Prof.Dr. Kulabutr Komenkul, co-founder of the ArokaGO platform, and an executive committee member of the Thai Medical and Wellness Tourism Association, was invited to speak on the main stage in a panel discussion titled “Technology Reshapes Production Scenarios.”
He stated, “In the past, production was about design, manufacturing, and distribution. Today, production has become the real-time coordination of data and systems through APIs. ArokaGO operates similarly, connecting hospitals, clinics, and wellness centers into a platform that offers medical and wellness packages that can be customized to the needs of users in each country.”
Asst.Prof.Dr. Kulabut also discussed the trend of AI-Driven Personalization at Scale, which enables mass customization. He also highlighted the importance of addressing Geopolitical & Infrastructure Constraints, noting that these can hinder seamless cross-border healthcare services.
He concluded, “The winner in this digital world isn't the one who 'produces' the most, but the one who can 'coordinate' trust, data, and value sustainably across the borders of the global economy."
