
Songkhla, Thailand – The Bangkok Hospital Phuket Network and Bangkok Phuket Cancer Institute have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Faculty of Medicine, Prince of Songkla University, to strengthen academic collaboration, promote knowledge exchange, and advance the development of innovative cancer care services through cutting-edge medical technologies.
Songkhla, Thailand – The Bangkok Hospital Phuket and Bangkok Phuket Cancer Institute have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Faculty of Medicine, Prince of Songkla University, to strengthen academic collaboration, promote knowledge exchange, and advance the development of innovative cancer care services through cutting-edge medical technologies.

The signing ceremony was attended by Mr. Kongkiat Kespechara, MD., Chief Executive Officer of Group 6, Bangkok Dusit Medical Services Public Company Limited (BDMS), and representatives from both institutions in Songkhla Province.
The collaboration aims to enhance cooperation in medical education, research, and clinical practice, while supporting the advancement of comprehensive cancer treatment services and expanding access to advanced medical technologies for patients in Southern Thailand.
On the same occasion, the Bangkok Hospital Phuket Network, led by Dr. lalita kongseeha, Assistant Chief Executive Officer of Group 6, Bangkok Dusit Medical Services Public Company Limited (BDMS), together with Prof. Dr. art hiranyakas, Director of Bangkok Phuket Cancer Institute, executives, and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals from the institute and affiliated hospitals, participated in an academic study visit focusing on CAR T-Cell Therapy and multidisciplinary approaches to patient care.
The visit provided an opportunity to exchange expertise in advanced cancer treatment modalities, particularly in the field of cellular immunotherapy and integrated patient management. The initiative marks another important step in strengthening Thailand's capabilities in oncology and advanced medical care.

The partnership is expected to contribute to the enhancement of cancer treatment standards, improve access to innovative therapies, and support better treatment outcomes for cancer patients across Southern Thailand.
As Thailand continues to position itself as a regional center for advanced healthcare and medical innovation, collaborations between leading healthcare institutions and academic organizations are playing a vital role in accelerating the development of next-generation cancer care and improving the quality of life for patients nationwide.
