Bangkok has been ranked as one of the world’s most diverse and inclusive cities, according to a global survey conducted by Time Out, which gathered responses from over 18,500 city-dwellers worldwide.
The Thai capital made it into the Top 15 cities where locals described their city as “diverse and inclusive.” According to Time Out, Bangkok stands out as a place where people feel truly embraced regardless of their background, culture, or identity.
This diversity goes beyond just ethnicity or nationality—it also includes Bangkok’s vibrant mix of cuisines, arts, lifestyles, and a growing acceptance of the LGBTQ+ community. All these elements contribute to the city's dynamic and welcoming atmosphere.
Bangkok’s inclusion in this global ranking highlights its transformation into a truly international city—one that is not only a popular tourist destination but also a place where people feel accepted, understood, and free to be themselves.
Other top cities on the list include global hubs like London, Melbourne, New York, and Barcelona. Bangkok is one of the few cities in Asia recognized for its cultural richness and openness on a global scale.
