Bangkok, Thailand – October 2, 2024 – BDMS Wellness Clinic, a leading preventive healthcare center in Thailand, continues its mission to position the country as a global Wellness Hub. Under the "Phuket Wellness Hub" project, BDMS Wellness Clinic has partnered with the six-star Sri Panwa Phuket and Bangkok Hospital Phuket to combine luxury relaxation with world-class medical care, delivering an all-encompassing wellness tourism experience.

As wellness tourism gains worldwide popularity, with the market projected to reach $1.4 trillion by 2027, Thailand has emerged as a key player in this sector. In 2019, the country ranked seventh globally in wellness tourism, generating nearly $17 billion (over 610 billion baht). This market is steadily recovering following the COVID-19 pandemic, and with a growth rate of 36% between 2020 and 2022, Thailand is attracting high-spending tourists who prioritize health and wellness.

Seeing Phuket's potential as a wellness destination, BDMS Wellness Clinic has joined forces with Sri Panwa Phuket and Bangkok Hospital Phuket to offer a holistic wellness experience. On October 1, 2024, the three organizations signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) at Sri Panwa Phuket, marking the establishment of a complete wellness and scientific health center in Thailand.

Dr. Tanupol Virunhagarun, CEO of BDMS Wellness Clinic and BDMS Wellness Resort, stated, “With the increasing number of high-potential tourists visiting Phuket, we recognized the island's growth in the wellness industry. By partnering with Sri Panwa Phuket and Bangkok Hospital Phuket, we aim to offer a comprehensive health experience that integrates luxury relaxation and medical excellence."

The collaboration of these leading organizations aims to elevate Phuket as a premier wellness destination in Southeast Asia, aligning with Thailand's "Ignite Thailand" policy to drive the wellness tourism industry.
