Thailand is reaffirming its position as a global hub for integrated medical and wellness tourism, offering a seamless blend of advanced healthcare services and holistic well-being. Dr. Med. Prapa Wongphaet, M.D., President of the Thai Medical and Wellness Tourism Association (TMWTA), emphasized that Thailand is entering a transformative era in which medical treatment and wellness are no longer viewed as separate journeys, but as a unified, life-enhancing experience for global travelers.

With a legacy rooted in hospitality, traditional healing, and world-class clinical care, Thailand has evolved into a destination where visitors can access everything from high-tech medical procedures and longevity therapies to rejuvenating spa treatments, mindfulness retreats, and personalized recovery programs. “Health is the new wealth. And wellness is the future of tourism,” said Dr. Prapa, highlighting the vision that guides the country's strategic direction—not merely in pursuit of economic growth, but to contribute to healing, prevention, and elevating the human experience.

TMWTA, in collaboration with CHG Global Organization, is actively engaging in international dialogue and partnerships to strengthen Asia’s wellness tourism supply chain and drive innovation across sectors. This includes working closely with accredited hospitals and clinics, wellness resorts, integrative care centers, government agencies, tourism organizations, medical experts, wellness practitioners, and health insurance providers.

Thailand’s commitment is clear: to establish itself as a trusted global destination for safe, personalized, and transformative health journeys. As the country looks ahead to participating in the CHG Global Summits 2025, it continues to champion wellness, ethical practice, and human dignity at the core of tourism development.

Dr. Prapa concluded with a forward-looking message: “Thailand is ready—not only to welcome the world, but to help the world heal. We move ahead with strength, compassion, and shared purpose toward a future where wellness travel is not a luxury, but a global standard.”
