The event, organized by the AFS Intercultural Programs Thailand Foundation under the global initiative “Empowering Abilities: The 13-Stage Global Journey to Drive Equality,” is part of a worldwide cycling mission across five continents and 27 countries. The campaign aims to promote equality and raise funds for the establishment of an Adaptive Health Complex to support individuals with physical and intellectual disabilities.
Thailand has been selected as Stage 5 of the 13-stage global journey. The Thai leg spans more than 2,813 kilometers across 30 provinces, taking place from February 14 to March 30, 2026, covering 47 days of cycling. The athlete is completing the route using a specially designed long-distance hand-bike, delivering the powerful message that disability is not a limitation to achievement. The global campaign aims to raise CAD 800,000 to support the development of the Adaptive Health Complex in Canada.

TAT’s support aligns with the national “Trusted Thailand” initiative, which focuses on enhancing traveler confidence through strengthened safety standards, improved service quality, and comprehensive emergency preparedness across all sectors.
Through close collaboration between government agencies, private sector partners, and local communities, Thailand continues to advance safety awareness while ensuring accurate and timely communication.
