• Laparoscopic Sleeve Gastrectomy: This surgery involves the removal of approximately 80% of the stomach, including the portion that produces hunger hormones. The remaining portion of the stomach is shaped into a smaller, banana-shaped sleeve with a volume of about 150 cc. This procedure is performed using minimally invasive techniques with small incisions and specialized tools. 

• Laparoscopic Gastric Bypass: In this keyhole surgery, the size of the stomach is reduced to create a small pouch of approximately 30 cc in capacity. The intestines are then divided into two sections, and the shorter section is re-routed to bypass the original stomach. This procedure has been a standard surgical approach for stomach restriction for over 50 years.
