Periodontics or periodontology looks at prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of inflammatory disease that destroys the gums and supporting structures around the teeth. A periodontist is a dentist that specializes on gums treatments.

Gums Deep Clean : Deep cleaning is cleaning and scaling of gums. Deep cleaning is typically done in quadrant or root planning for a specific tooth area. It is commonly prevent and treat periodontal diseases.

Gingivectomy : Gingivectomy is a surgical gums procedure to remove excessive gums. The procedure gets rid of diseased gum tissue or pockets. It is also sometimes done for better gum aesthetics.

Gingival Grafts : A gingival graft places additional gum tissue over an exposed portion of the tooth root to repair a defective area or prevent additional gum recession. 

Crown Lengthening : Crown Lengthening exposes gums margin so that teeth length and structure is lengthen. It is done to re-shape gums or sometimes aesthetic purposes to make teeth appear longer prior to having crowns or veneers done.

Dental Implants : The surgical placement of dental implants may be done by a periodontist that surgically embed implant posts into your gums and jaw bone. Consult with your dentist if a non-invasive technique may be used for your surgical implant placement.
