Diagnostic Technologies for Eye Care

Auto Refractometer

Measures refractive errors automatically to assess vision.

Tonometer

Measures intraocular pressure to screen for glaucoma.

Slit-Lamp Biomicroscopy

A specialized microscope with a narrow beam of light for detailed examination of the eye’s anterior structures.

Wide-field Fundus Camera

Captures wide-angle retinal images that closely resemble what the doctor sees inside the patient’s eye.

This technology helps detect early retinal diseases that may not appear during a standard eye exam.

The process is quick, safe, and does not affect the patient’s vision.

Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT)

Provides cross-sectional images of the retina, allowing doctors to evaluate retinal layer thickness.

OCT is essential for diagnosing and monitoring retinal conditions such as macular edema, macular holes, and epiretinal traction often seen in diabetic retinopathy and age-related macular degeneration.

Computerized Visual Field Analyzer (CTVF)

Measures the extent of a patient’s visual field and detects abnormalities caused by eye diseases such as glaucoma or optic neuritis, as well as brain-related conditions that affect vision (e.g., pituitary tumors compressing the optic nerve, or stroke).

Corneal Endothelial Cell Counter (Endothelium Cell Count)

Analyzes the number of corneal endothelial cells to detect corneal disorders such as corneal degeneration, dry eye, or complications in frequent contact lens users.

IOL Master 700

A highly precise device for measuring eye length and calculating intraocular lens power for cataract surgery.
