Cambodia's Ministry of Health has reported the death of a 15-year-old girl from H5N1 avian influenza in Kan Chrie District, Prey Veng Province, in the southeastern part of the country.
The report states that public health experts are investigating the source of the infection, including potential cases and contacts of the deceased, to prevent community outbreaks.
So far, Cambodia has detected a total of 10 H5N1 avian influenza cases this year.
