Samrong General Hospital

Prior to 1977, Thailand had only a handful of private hospitals, the majority of which were located in Bangkok. In general, government hospitals are always overcrowded and suffer from a lack of patient beds, despite their ongoing efforts to expand their service offerings.  

Hence, the founders of Samrong Medical Hospital believed that we should begin constructing private hospitals in the aforementioned areas in order to give services to the local population. Between Bangkok and Samut Prakan is a contiguous territory known as Samrong District. That is, in Bangkok's suburbs. And on the outskirts of Samut Prakan there is a dense industrial factory as well as a huge number of villages and surrounding districts.  

In 1979, the Samrong Medical Hospital project began. The hospital at that time consisted of a 6-story structure and a smaller 1-story structure. Initiators anticipated that the hospital would need to be modified by halting the construction of a six-story building and replacing a one-story house with a three-story structure in order to accommodate a minimum of 25 beds while keeping modern medical equipment. Maybe the same group of physicians, nurses, and staff members was initially intended. The first building was finished and opened for business on February 1, 1981, thanks to the resolve and cooperation of all parties.
