The villagers ate the dough on the night of Monday, August 26th, during the Janmashtami festival, a Hindu religious celebration, in the Farah area of Mathura district.
Shailendra Kumar Singh, an official of Mathura district, stated that the patients experienced vomiting, dizziness, and tremors after eating the fried dough. He mentioned that all the patients are currently in stable condition.
Singh added that a team has been formed to trace the source of the buckwheat flour used to make the dough. The team has been ordered to inspect and shut down the supplier's shops, and strict action will be taken against those found guilty.
