Bangkok Ranked Among Top 3 Safest Cities in Southeast Asia by Global Residence Index 2025

A recent report from Global Residence Index, based on its “2025 Safety Index,” offers a comprehensive look at urban safety across Southeast Asia. The index evaluates not only crime statistics but also a wide range of risk factors, including homicide, kidnapping, political and security threats, natural disasters, and traffic accidents, to give a fuller picture of how safe cities really are.

Among the region’s major urban centers, Bangkok 🇹🇭 stands out as one of the top three safest cities in Southeast Asia, earning a global rank of 111. This achievement highlights Thailand’s progress in strengthening public safety measures in its capital, alongside improvements in infrastructure and traffic management, making Bangkok an increasingly attractive destination for tourists and investors alike.
