The Phyathai-Paolo Hospital network has once again achieved success by winning the prestigious National Innovation Award for Outstanding Innovation Organization in 2024 from the National Innovation Agency (NIA). This marks the second time they’ve won this award, with the first being in 2022. The award reaffirms their leadership in sustainable health innovation. Mr. Att Thongtang, CEO of Phyathai-Paolo Hospital Network, and Dr. Niroot Sripawatkul, Director of Business Value and Learning Development, accepted the recognition from Dr. Krichphaka Boonfueng, Director of the National Innovation Agency.

This recognition reflects the organization’s dedication to delivering excellent healthcare services and its commitment to using technology and innovation to enhance the quality of life for patients, building national trust and driving sustainable growth in Thailand’s healthcare system.
Mr. Att Thongtang emphasized, "The key to all our success lies in creating a culture of learning and development, encouraging all staff to think creatively, think positively, and turn ideas into reality."
The continuous development mindset has allowed the Phyathai-Paolo network to adapt to new changes, constantly innovating to improve patient healthcare experiences. Their commitment has resulted in a range of innovative projects, such as the “Fight for Better” campaign, the “All You Can Check” project, and the “Healthy Together” initiative, as well as services like “Khun Pra Chuey,” AI-powered EKG technology, and the Health Up app.
Their innovations were selected for the National Innovation Award because they offer real solutions to healthcare problems and have the potential to positively impact the wider public health system in the future.
The “Fight for Better” campaign focuses on creating a culture of continuous improvement. Staff at all levels are encouraged to contribute ideas, helping the hospital deliver better health experiences to patients and improve staff development. Their "All You Can Check" program promotes preventive care through a comprehensive health monitoring system tailored to individual lifestyles, with a focus on long-term health improvement. The “Healthy Together” initiative builds health-conscious cultures within organizations by using digital systems to assess employee health risks and match them with preventive care programs.
The “Khun Pra Chuey” service aims to provide holistic care for sick monks in accordance with professional standards and religious guidelines. Phyathai-Paolo Hospital is the first private hospital in Thailand to receive recognition for this service.
The hospital network also launched “AI EKG”, using AI to analyze electrocardiograms, which streamlines the process and reduces time for cardiologists. This innovation is expected to expand into broader healthcare applications in the future.
Finally, the “Health Up” app integrates health management into a single platform, allowing patients and their families to access medical information such as test results, medication records, and appointment schedules, all through a mobile device.
Beyond these projects, the Phyathai-Paolo Hospital Network collaborates with external partners, such as startups and leading universities, to create an open innovation ecosystem that fosters knowledge exchange and advances medical innovation for societal benefit.

The network's three innovation-driving units—CPRIA (Center of Private Research and Innovation Accelerator), PIL (Phyathai Paolo Innovation Lab), and CIL (Center of Interactive Learning)—facilitate the development of ideas into prototypes, support innovation, and engage with both internal and external partners.
