Every Hour, Two People Lose Their Lives in Road Accidents: It Is Time for All of Us to Be Prepared
According to the latest data from the ThaiRSC Accident Information Center, a total of 9,658 people lost their lives in road accidents in 2025, while the cumulative number of injuries exceeded 668,145 cases. In the past 24 hours alone, 5 people have died and more than 400 people have been injured.
These figures clearly reflect one painful reality: road accidents remain one of the leading causes of death in Thailand.
The main causes of road accidents include speeding and careless driving, using a mobile phone while driving, drinking alcohol before or during driving, failing to wear a helmet or seat belt, and poor road or vehicle conditions that do not meet safety standards.
Although both government and private sectors have continuously worked together on road safety campaigns, loss and tragedy still occur every day, and they can happen to anyone in just a split second when we least expect it.
How Everyone Can Be Better Prepared
๐ First, always stay alert before getting behind the wheel. Avoid driving when you are sleepy, under the influence of alcohol, or emotionally upset on the road.
๐ Second, check your vehicle regularly, especially the brakes, tires, and lights, to ensure it is in proper condition before every journey.
๐ Third, consider having Personal Accident Insurance (PA Insurance) to provide protection against unexpected events, including medical expenses, income compensation, and death benefits.
๐ The truth is that accidents do not choose when they happen. No one wants an unexpected tragedy to occur, but what we can do is prepare in advance and reduce the impact of potential loss.
๐ Personal Accident Insurance can serve as a source of reassurance, helping to ease the financial burden on you and your family when the unexpected becomes reality.
