Beijing – The Chinese National Administration of Disease Control and Prevention, in collaboration with relevant government agencies, has released a set of guidelines for establishing and enhancing an intelligent monitoring and multi-indicator warning mechanism for infectious diseases.
China will establish a mechanism with rapid response capabilities and high efficiency, alongside enhancing its early detection capabilities for epidemics. This mechanism will enable scientific assessment and the swift issuance of early warnings by 2030.
The guidelines also outline the responsibilities of relevant government agencies, including disease control and medical oversight institutions, in monitoring infectious diseases and issuing warnings. They also set up various monitoring channels covering everything from clinic and laboratory networks to scenarios involving major epidemics.
