What is Egg Freezing? Egg freezing is a fertility preservation technique that allows women to store their eggs for future use. Mature eggs are collected from the ovaries, frozen using advanced cryopreservation methods, and stored safely at -196°C in liquid nitrogen. At this temperature, all biological activity stops, preserving the quality of the eggs without deterioration
When the woman decides to use them, the frozen eggs are thawed and fertilized with sperm through IVF (In Vitro Fertilization) or ICSI (Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection), giving her the opportunity to achieve pregnancy later in life.
Peak fertility is before 30 – Eggs are healthiest and most plentiful before this age.
Fertility declines after 30 – Both egg number and quality start to decrease, with a sharper decline after 35.
Preserving eggs early significantly increases the chances of a successful pregnancy later.
Not ready for pregnancy yet but want to preserve future options.
Planning to start a family later in life (after 35).
Family history of early menopause.
Undergoing or preparing for chemotherapy or radiation treatment.
Scheduled for ovarian surgery (such as for endometriomas, ovarian tumors, or cysts).
Maintains fertility potential despite aging.
Provides peace of mind and flexibility in family planning.
Offers hope for women facing medical treatments or conditions that may affect fertility.
Uses vitrification, the most advanced freezing technology, to ensure the highest survival rate of eggs after thawing.
Egg freezing empowers women to take control of their reproductive future. By freezing eggs at a younger age, women can preserve their fertility, reduce the risks of age-related infertility, and increase their chances of a healthy pregnancy when the time is right.
