Q-switched

The Q-switched laser treatment is an effective method to address skin blemishes, freckles, and dark spots. This treatment works by using light waves to reduce melanin production and stimulate collagen production under the skin. The result is a rejuvenated, radiant, youthful, soft, and smooth skin. This process is generally safe and causes minimal side effects. 

The Q-switched laser treatment involves: 

• Applying a topical anesthetic to the skin and leaving it on for about 40-60 minutes. 

• Using the laser, which can take about 10-30 minutes and may cause a slight burning sensation. 

• After the treatment, there may be some redness on the face. The light energy emitted by the laser targets the pigments in the skin that are to be removed. White blood cells then absorb and decompose these pigments, which are eventually eliminated from the body as waste. 

The Q-switched treatment is usually about 80% effective after the first session. However, to achieve clear results, approximately three treatments are needed, spaced 3-6 weeks apart, depending on the advice of the dermatologist. Post-treatment, small flakes or black marks may appear in the treated area but will fall off within 1-2 weeks.
