Nakhon Pathom Hospital has achieved a significant milestone on the international healthcare stage after receiving two international healthcare accreditations from the American Accreditation Commission International (AACI). The official presentation ceremony was held on September 1, 2026, at Nakhon Pathom Hospital, marking another important achievement that reflects the potential of Thailand’s public healthcare sector to advance its medical services toward international standards.

The achievement includes Hospital Accreditation under the International Accreditation Standards for Healthcare Organizations V6.0, as well as the Clinical Excellence Certification – Comprehensive Stroke Center under the Clinical Standard for Acute Stroke Care.

Both certifications were officially granted on August 16, 2026, and remain valid until August 15, 2029.

The achievement reflects the hospital’s vision and commitment under the leadership of Dr. Surachai Chokkhanchitchai, Director of Nakhon Pathom Hospital, together with the hospital’s management team and personnel at all levels, who have worked collectively to advance the organization while placing healthcare quality and patient safety at the heart of its operations.

During the ceremony, the hospital received certificates and commemorative plaques recognizing its achievement. Dr. Preecha Prempree, Inspector-General of the Ministry of Public Health for Health Region 5, and Dr. Wiroj Rattanamornsakun, Nakhon Pathom Provincial Chief Medical Officer, attended the ceremony to witness the milestone.

Representing AACI were Mr. K.A. Paliska, Executive SVP & Group CEO, AACI America, and Dr. Somporn Kumphong, Chairman of the Board & CEO, AACI Asia Pacific, who congratulated Nakhon Pathom Hospital and its personnel on the achievement.

AACI representatives highlighted that the accomplishment demonstrates the capability of Thailand’s public hospitals to advance toward internationally recognized healthcare standards. They also expressed hope that Nakhon Pathom Hospital’s success would serve as an inspiration for hospitals across Thailand to continue improving their standards and services for the health and quality of life of all patients.
