デジタルマンモグラフィとは何ですか？

デジタルマンモグラム検診は、乳房の異常を検出するために特別に設計された装置を用いて、X線を使用して行う検査方法です。乳がんを、ご自身や医師が触れてもわからないほど小さい初期段階で発見することができます。
基本的な手順は、患者さんが機械の前に立ち、乳房を2枚の平らなプレートの間に挟んで軽く圧迫するというものです。違和感や軽い痛みを感じることがありますが、実際の圧迫は2～3秒しか続かず、検査全体も数分で終わります。放射線被ばくはごくわずかで、検診によるリスクは実質的にありません。
