A key highlight is the launch of the SEA Games Travel Guide, available in special editions for Bangkok and Chonburi. Each guide features QR codes linked to curated Google Maps lists, offering recommended attractions and local cultural experiences to help travelers plan their journeys with ease. TAT has also introduced SEA Games–themed Instagram filters on @1672TravelBuddy, adding a fun, interactive element to online cheering throughout the Games.
TAT Governor Thapanee Kiatphaibool has led the setup of welcome points at Suvarnabhumi Airport and at the Opening Ceremony venue, where visitors receive travel information, souvenirs, and on-ground support. Promotional videos have been made available for journalists at the Media Center, while online influencers and key opinion leaders are helping amplify the vibrant atmosphere across social media platforms.
This year’s SEA Games brings together athletes from 11 Southeast Asian nations, competing in 50 medal events and three demonstration sports, with a total of 574 gold medals at stake. The Opening Ceremony on December 9 at Rajamangala National Stadium was held under the theme “WE ARE ONE”, symbolizing unity and collective progress in the region.
The event marks a major opportunity for Thailand to strengthen its position as a leading sports tourism destination, while generating long-term economic benefits for host cities and neighboring regions.
