Complete service information and details
The Sleep Disorders Center at Bangpakok 9 International Hospital is a comprehensive program dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders. We have a multidisciplinary team of healthcare providers, including pulmonologists, ENT specialists, neurologists, and psychologists, who work together to provide expert care for patients with sleep-related issues.
Our Services include:
Ear, Nose, Throat, Mouth, and Palate Examination: Comprehensive evaluation of the upper airway to assess any structural or functional abnormalities that may contribute to sleep disorders.
Sleep Test by using Polysomnography: This test involves monitoring various physiological parameters during sleep, such as brain activity, pulse, breathing, and blood-oxygen levels. It helps diagnose sleep disorders like insomnia, bruxism (teeth grinding), and periodic limb movement disorders.
Multiple Sleep Latency Test (MSLT): This test measures daytime sleepiness and assesses the ability to fall asleep during the day. It is commonly used to evaluate narcolepsy and other excessive sleepiness disorders.
Maintenance of Wakefulness Test (MWT): This test measures the ability to stay awake and alert during the day. It is often used to assess daytime sleepiness and the effectiveness of treatment for sleep disorders.
Uvulopalatopharyngoplasty (UPPP) and Laser Uvulopalatoplasty (LAUP): Surgical procedures performed to address specific anatomical issues in the throat, such as excessive tissue or obstruction, which can contribute to sleep apnea and snoring.
Radiofrequency Treatment: This non-surgical procedure uses controlled energy to shrink or tighten tissues in the throat, reducing airway obstruction and improving breathing during sleep.
Continuous Positive Airway Pressure Therapy (CPAP): This treatment involves using a device that delivers mild air pressure to keep the airways open during sleep. It is an effective treatment for sleep apnea.

Polysomnography: Patients stay overnight in a comfortable room where their brain activity, pulse, breathing, and blood-oxygen levels are continuously monitored throughout the sleep period. This test helps diagnose various sleep disorders.
