Eye Mask

An eye mask or poultice can be used to reduce heat and address various eye-related symptoms. It can help alleviate blurred vision, dizziness in the eyes, dry eyes, excessive tearing, heat in the eye sockets, and certain types of eye conditions such as cataracts, glaucoma, and heat in the liver. 

The procedure for using an eye mask or poultice typically involves the following steps: 

• Mix Andrographis paniculata (a medicinal herb) with the egg white from a duck's egg in a cup. The ratio is usually 1 tablespoon of Andrographis paniculata to the egg white of one duck's egg. Adjust the consistency of the mixture by adding clean water if it thickens or Andrographis paniculata powder if it is too liquid. 

• Place a piece of gauze over the patient's eye socket while they keep their eyes closed. 

• Apply the poultice mixture around the patient's eyes, ensuring it covers the desired area. Then, place another layer of gauze on top of the medication. 

• Allow the poultice to remain in place for a duration of 20-30 minutes.
