After a hair transplant, if you want to wash your hair… is it allowed?

Patients may shampoo their hair immediately after hair transplantation. However, the scalp should be handled gently. If shampoo is used, vigorous rubbing should be avoided. Instead, gently massage the scalp and allow the water to rinse naturally, or lightly pat the scalp with the fingertips.

Following hair transplantation, patients may resume their usual daily activities. Nevertheless, proper postoperative care of the transplanted area is essential, as the grafts are not yet firmly established. Therefore, adherence to the physician's postoperative instructions is recommended to achieve optimal clinical outcomes.
