Intensive Care Unit
The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at AEK UDON International Hospital provides specialized care for critically ill patients and patients who require close monitoring after surgery. The unit operates 24 hours a day and is equipped to care for patients who need intensive observation, advanced life-support equipment, and continuous medical supervision.
The ICU offers a total of 24 beds, including 6 isolation rooms, 1 negative pressure room, and 17 ICU beds. The department is supported by a team of doctors, nurses, and healthcare professionals, along with modern critical care equipment such as cardiac monitoring devices, automatic blood pressure monitors, computerized ventilators, infusion pumps, digital defibrillators, and bedside monitors.
Scope of Services
The ICU provides care for various groups of critically ill patients, including medical patients who require ventilator support, patients with cardiovascular conditions who need continuous heart monitoring, patients with circulatory system problems, and patients with neurological or brain-related conditions who require close neurological observation.
The unit also supports surgical and orthopedic patients, including those with severe wounds, post-operative critical conditions, fractures, serious injuries, or internal organ trauma. In addition, the ICU provides care for obstetric and gynecologic patients with serious complications, neurosurgical patients requiring close post-operative monitoring, and pediatric patients with critical conditions affecting any body system.
